The 2023 European Women’s Chess Championship is taking place from 17-30 March in Petrovac, Montenegro with participation of more than 130 players from 34 European federations. The event features a prize pool of 60,000 EUR and 9 qualification spots for the next FIDE Women’s World Cup.
After three played rounds, four players emerged on the top scoring perfect 3/3 points: IM Aleksandra Maltsevskaya (POL, 2388), IM Irina Bulmaga (ROU, 2438), IM Oliwia Kiolbasa (POL, 2406), and WGM Govhar Beydullayeva (AZE, 2388).
The 4th round is scheduled for Tuesday, 21st of March, 15:00 CEST. The top pairings are:
- IM Aleksandra Maltsevskaya – IM Irina Bulmaga
- WGM Govhar Beydullayeva – IM Oliwia Kiolbasa
- IM Nataliya Buksa – GM Bella Khotenashvili
- IM Lilit Mkrtchian – IM Gunay Mammadzada
