The 2023 European Women’s Blitz Chess Championship will take place on January 12th, 2024 in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.
The event gathers 110 players coming from 24 European federations. Among the top-seeds are former World Chess Champions: GM Alexandra Kosteniuk (SUI), GM Antoaneta Stefanova (BUL), GM Anna Ushenina (UKR), and GM Nona Gaprindashvili (GEO), as well as the world-known female chess players GM Paehtz Elisabeth (GER), GM Pia Cramling (SWE), GM Bella Khotenashvili (GEO), IM Nurgyul Salimova (BUL), Sarasadat Khademalsharieh (ESP) etc.
The event is played in 13 single rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment. The total prize fund of the event is 7.650 EUR.
