The 2024 European Individual Chess Championship is taking place from 8-19th November in Hotel Palas in Petrovac, Montenegro.
The Championship is a qualifying event for the FIDE World Cup 2025. According to the FIDE regulations for World Cup and the ECU Board decision, 20 players will qualify.
The Championship will be played in 11 rounds, Swiss system, with the classical time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes until the end of the game, with 30 seconds increment for each move starting from move one.
