The 15th Continental Women’s Chess Championship of the Americas 2024 will be held November 23-30, 2024 at the Dominican Olympic Hostel (Albergue Olimpico Dominicano) in Dominican Republic.
The event, organized by the Chess Confederation of the Americas and the Dominican Chess Federation is open to all American continent chess federation women players.
This is an nine-round event and the time control for all games is Game 90 with 30-second increment starting from move one.
The champion will qualify to participate in the FIDE World Cup and the prize fund is $5,500 with the top eight finishers receiving a prize.
Official Players are entitled to full accommodation and meals provided by the organization, from Saturday, November 23th until Saturday, November 30th.

- Up to 3 players from zone 2.1
- One player from zone 2.2
- Up to 2 players from each of the zones 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5
- The Continental Women’s Champion
- The Pan-American U20 Champion
- One player invited by the organizers
The Continental Women’s Championship is an open tournament (with no minimum FIDE ELO requirement). Each National Federation may register as many chess players as it wishes. All participants must cover their registration, transportation, and accreditation costs.
Each participant must have the endorsement of their Federation belonging to the Chess Confederation for America, registered with FIDE, unless stated otherwise by the CCA.
The Continental Champion will be awarded the direct title of WGM. In case of a tie for first place, each of the tied players will receive the WGM norm. The players who finish 2nd and 3rd will receive the title of WIM.
