28th seeded Italy crushed the medal-hopeful 5th seed Netherlands by 3-1, while Lithuania beat 7th seed Germany 2.5-1.5.
Denmark and Georgia tied the higher rated England and Iran, respectively. 36th seeded Montenegro stunned France by 2.5-1.5.
