Heading into the final round of the Sinquefield Cup, Firouzja leads the event with 5.5 points, holding a full-point advantage over his closest competitor, Fabiano Caruana.
The final event and signature tournament of the Grand Chess Tour circuit, the Sinquefield Cup is taking place from 19-29th August at The World Chess Hall of Fame in Saint Louis, USA.
This event features nine full-tour players and one wildcard player, reigning World Champion Ding Liren from China. The total prize fund is $350,000.
