The 50th edition of the Rilton Cup is the first event that is part of FIDE’s new qualification path to the Candidate Tournament. The event is taking place from December 27 to January 5 at the Scandic Continental Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control of: 40 moves in 90 min, followed by 30 min for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 sec/move. The total prize fund is $11.500.
